FISH Food BankFISH FOOD BANK

The food bank and Mason Methodist Church is part of the Northwest Tacoma FISH Food Bank Network. Mason is one of eight neighborhood churches in the north and west ends of Tacoma cooperating to provide food to individuals or families in need.

One of the churches is open each week.

Church serving this week: Call 383-1813.

Hours of operation: 1 pm to 3 pm Wednesday and noon to 3 pm Saturday..

At Mason Church, the Food Bank operates out of the Downstairs Kitchen. Clients should enter through the southwest door on the basement level. Go down the ramp on the 27th Street side of the Church.

One person may pickup food for the entire family. Please bring identification for each family member.

There are opportunities for Mason Church members to participate.

Operations: Volunteers needed once every two months.

- Package food
- Greet clients
- Stock Shelves
- Telephone / Receptionist
- Transport food from warehouse / supermarkets
- Pickup, Van, or SUV required (schedule varies)

Donations: Deposit food items and supplies in Church foyer grocery cart

- Canned fruit and vegetables
- Peanut Butter
- Tuna fish / canned meat
- Soup
- Pasta / Spaghetti sauce
- Miscellaneous canned items and packaged items
- Paper grocery bags, egg cartons
- Two cup cottage cheese / margarine cartons with lids

Fresh food needs to be refrigerated.

Financial donations: Place gifts in offering or mail to Church. Mark "For Food Bank"
