Mason United Methodist Church is producing Godspell as a Benefit for Associated Ministries and United Methodist Committee on Relief. This will be a fully staged production under the direction of Jeremy Thompson.
There will be two performances — March 5th and 6th
Character Breakdown / Project Needs
Due to the demands of the revival score, we need the following.
10 performers — some roles may be cast cross-gender.
In particular need of a Soprano and Tenor that are strong and confident in their upper register.
All races, gender identifications, physical types, and ages (12+) welcome.
There are difficult harmonies and acapella sections, so we are looking for confident part singers.
Please bring sheet music in the correct key.
The night of the audition: You will be asked to sing and may be asked for a monologue or to run through some scales. After that, you will either be released or asked to stay. Once everyone has sung, those remaining will be asked to work in groups to see how you work as an ensemble.
Please contact email@example.com to set up an audition time or with further questions (please read ALL the information listed here first). Please include your picture and resume when you request an audition appointment.
Dec. 15th from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Callbacks or second audition/interview?
Callbacks will the same night. Be prepared to stay and work in groups
1) A verse and chorus from contemporary musical theater that shows your range.
2) You may be asked for a short comedic monologue.
3) If you play a musical instrument well — guitar, ukulele, percussion, etc — please bring it with you. You may be asked to play.
